Visiting Neon Sheep at Gretna Gateway- AD

If you follow me on Instagram – you might have spotted that a few weeks back, I headed down to the borders to check out the brand new Neon Sheep Store at Gretna Outlet Mall. Today I thought it would be nice to share a little bit about what I got up to, the very cute pieces I picked out as well as everything you need to know about this little Alladin’s cave of a store. If you fancy finding out more – why not have a read!

Neon Sheep – An Introduction

I first discovered this gem of a  store last year whilst visiting Madrid. Jam packed with a plethora of beautiful homeware and stationery – it was right up my street. I could quite happily have come home with everything in the store – however, my Ryanair luggage allowance sadly told me otherwise.

With this in mind, you can imagine how excited I was when I received an email from the lovely people at Gretna Gateway Outlet Centre- letting me know that they would be opening a store at the outlet.

Alas, I could take my pick of their very cute offerings – with no flight allowances in sight! Upon reading the email, I was even more delighted when the team asked if I would like to pop down to the store itself and check out everything it had in store – a dream collaboration? I think so!

Time to Hit the Road.

So, two weeks ago, I popped on my sat-nav, picked up some snacks and headed on a little road trip down to the outlet to check out Neon Sheep for myself. In all honesty, it was SO refreshing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the day. With the trees lining the motorway turning that beautiful shade of rust, and the skies bright and clear as day, our journey down to the borders was an absolute treat!

Creative Spaces

As I have written about previously, I am 100% one of those people who work best in pretty environments – whether that is a coffee shop or just a neat and tidy space. Therefore, when visiting the store, I set out to give my workspace a little overhaul – in the hopes that it will provide a bit of creative inspiration (and hopefully encourage me sit down at my desk and blog a little more often).

First Stop – Stationery Heaven

As a self-confessed stationery addict, I feel like a new notebook can bring a whole heap of motivation.  Therefore, there was no doubt that this section would be my first pitstop when arriving in the store. Luckily for me, they had a million and one options to choose from. From Leopard print ones to those laden with (very cute) motivational quotes, there was quite literally something for everyone! I personally opted for this space print gem as well as this little leopard print number. I mean, can you ever have too much leopard print? No… the answer is no.

With most notepads ranging from three to five pounds, I could quite happily have supermarket-sweeped the whole aisle. However, I refrained.

Homeware and Storage

As well as stationery, I decided to pick up a few little storage / decorative pieces to give my workspace a much needed revamp. First up had to be this circular shelving unit which I have used to showcase a few bits and bobs that would otherwise lay tucked away in a drawer. How cute!

Secondly, I opted for this very chic mirror which admittedly, I have been in dire need of. Since my old vanity light broke way back at the start of the year, I have been meaning to pick another one up, however, it seemed to always slip to the bottom of my to-do list. So, what better place to finally tick that off the list than in Neon Sheep.

I absolutely love its shape – and the fact that it has storage room below – hopefully, this means I will never lose my earrings again! For £10 you really can’t knock the prices either!

Clothing

To my surprise, I found out that as well as a whole host of trinkets, homeware bits, and travel items, they also stocked a range of quirky clothing bits. From jumpers and slogan tees to socks and winter hats, yep – they have it all. You can bet that this amazing space-themed “Out of this World” tee went right in my basket, I am nothing if not predictable and will be wearing this for the foreseeable future!

Christmas

Yep, I said it. Whether you plan on decorating your home with traditional Christmas pieces – or are going for something a little out of the ordinary. Neon Sheep is a must-visit this festive season! It has everything from decorative signs and fairy lights to the cutest decorations I’ve ever spotted. I particularly loved these kitsch little tree ornaments, I mean … look at them! Sequins and glitter galore? Yes, please!

Overall, I found that the store was excellent value for money – and would be especially fab for those on the hunt for Christmas ideas and stocking fillers. Stocking everything from homeware basics to accent pieces, I feel like the outlet store would also be a go-to for those who are currently moving out – or preparing for a move. It is very rare to find such unique accessories at such amazing prices, however, Neon Sheep seem to have hit the nail on the head when it comes to all things homeware!

I had such a lovely day down at Gretna, checking out the new store and am definitely planning another trip back to the outlet asap! As much as I love Glasgow,  it was so nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city – even just for the day. If like me you are a massive stationery addict / Pinterest queen I would 100% recommend a visit down to the store –  promise it won’t disappoint!
